Inspiration: Mary Quant, three colors

Today on the blog post inspired by photographs of Mary Quant, which I saw a few weeks ago while sitting on my couch and watching TV...I don't know why, but these images for some reason, stopped in my head...And why three colors?I know it sounds more like the title of Kieslowski's trilogy, but that's not what it is about. Simply, black, white, and grey are the colors that represent the present time and appear first when I think about the style of Mary.

MADEWELL Fall 2013 Lookbook

 

Today quickly something for autumn weather. Looking at this lookbook I have a feeling that someone has read in my mind, seriously...It is rare that I would wear all the clothes from one store!Usually there is only a few things that I like, but not this time and not for Madewell! To top it all, one of my favourites in the world of fashion- Caroline de Maigret played the role of ambassador to the collection, simply it could not be better x.

Probably most of you have seen this lookbook a few months ago,

but summer is still going on,so I thought it would be worth to recall it.

I like this collection for two reasons, firstly, the contrast between the masculinity and femininity is visible but not overdone.

Plaid shirt combined with a floral skirt  or trousers?

Yes, it works here, clearly showing its dynamics.

Secondly,I really like the loose fit of these clothes, seemingly careless but really very thoughtful.

According to me this is everything a young woman could dream of when growing up.

Feel feminine in a girl's body and vice versa, feel girly in a woman's body

What would you wear in an isolated seaside villa? I recall in my mind a scene from a Bergman's movie... and I know.

1.shift dress , basic top, both rag & bone - I have a crush on rag & bone at the moment so you will see more of it on this blog.Why black? Because I like black and there is something incredibly functional about this colour.
2.strew hat Lanvin via Matches -  strew hat is a summer must have and you know it...Select a smaller one for a more playful look...and tell a friend to wear the same.
3.backpack via Polyvore, I'm in love with this vintage look!

Need some effortless appeal like B.?New wave Parisian chic is the answer...starring:

trench coat . There are so many on the market at the moment,that it would be a sin not to have one of them in the closet this spring. I'm going to wear my old coat from Gap, similar here. I bought mine last season, however it is still in good shape.

And remember, french style is all about timeless pieces, elegance, cigarette pants and natural makeup.

To be totally honest I should call it "My dream wishlist" because I rarely buy designer clothes. If so then only from tkmaxx or outlet stores.

Although I don't buy it, I often find myself inspired by designers and what they do. I go through magazines a lot before hitting the mainstream high street shops. It gives me some kind of certainty and tips to choose the right pieces and then put them together in the outfit.
